Mikey's Old West Sautéed Mushrooms

  • 8 Oz Packaged mushrooms sliced a 1/3 of an inch thick.
  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 2 Tbs Finely chopped onion
  • 1 Tbs Finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ Cup White Zinfandel wine
  • Mikey's Spice liberally applied


Melt butter and add onion, garlic and green pepper. Sauté till onion is translucent.

Add mushrooms and mix to coat with butter and add more butter if needed.

Sauté on medium heat till moisture is cooked off.

Add about 10 Shakes (more or less to taste) of Mike's Spice on top of mushrooms, mixing thoroughly and cook for 3 more minutes.

Add the wine and mix thoroughly.

Let mixture cook down till wine is reduced to a gravy with mushrooms.

Serve on top of meat, fish or poultry, or as a side dish.
